Job Description

Position Title: Fleet Trailer Maintenance Technician

Overview:

The ideal candidate will have the expertise and skills necessary to conduct routine maintenance on TFF Transportation Trailers and Converter Dollies. Responsibilities include accurately diagnosing and executing essential repairs on non-powered equipment, such as air brake systems and electrical components. Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shifts is required, along with the possession of all personal tools needed for the role, in addition to utilizing appropriate hand tools as dictated by specific job tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in physical activities including bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders and stairs, standing, walking, and pivoting frequently throughout the workday.
  • Adapt to varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime based on operational requirements.
  • Occasional sitting may be necessary during the workday.
  • Handle equipment and/or packages weighing up to 70 pounds, with assistance in moving items up to 150 pounds.
  • Perform tasks requiring simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as needed.
  • Operate both standard and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Utilize power and pneumatic tools effectively.
  • Adhere to personal protective equipment protocols.
  • Fulfill all criteria to achieve Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certification.
  • Work in environments with fluctuating temperatures and humidity, while being exposed to cleaning agents, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, as well as outdoor weather conditions.
  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
  • Demonstrate sufficient communication abilities through sight, hearing, and other means to complete assigned tasks and uphold safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Documented experience as a trailer mechanic is essential.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and personal computers is necessary.
  • Must have a complete set of personal hand tools.
  • Employer will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
