UPMC Cole is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their Float Pool Department. This is a full-time position working nights, with every other weekend and rotational holidays. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Participate in patient and family teaching, promoting health and wellness through education and support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes and improve quality of care.
- Assign and delegate nursing care to team members, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Participate in the economical utilization of supplies and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with orientation and performance evaluations of nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams, utilizing teaching opportunities to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in committees and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of nursing practice and patient care.
Requirements
- Current PA RN nursing license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Act 33 with renewal.
- Act 34 with renewal.
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
