Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individualized physical therapy services to students, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions to promote physical function and mobility.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Participate in student support meetings and contribute to problem-solving efforts to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved institution.
  • RIDOH Physical Therapist license.
  • National Board for Certification in Physical Therapy.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
