Key Responsibilities

The individual in this role will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
  • Vacuuming and extracting carpets to maintain their appearance.
  • Stripping and waxing floors to ensure a polished look.
  • Managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
  • Sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms to uphold health standards.
  • Cleaning windows and polishing surfaces within entryways.
  • Removing snow and ice as necessary to ensure safety.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of desks, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned by the custodial supervisor.

Qualifications

  • A willingness to undergo a background check.

Minimum Requirements

Education: A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is advantageous.

Physical and Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Lifting, pushing, or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Extensive walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Capability to work in varying temperatures, from hot to cold.
