We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Unit Supervisor in our Medical Surgical and Telemetry department. As a Clinical Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of nurses, and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of nurses, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Unit Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the unit, including managing supplies, equipment, and personnel.
- Quality and Performance Improvement: Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and unit operations.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to nursing staff, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and collaboration.
- Education: Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing (individuals hired without a BSN will be required to complete a degree program within 5 years of their hire date)
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing, with a minimum of one (1) year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience
- Licensure: Current California Nursing license
- Certification: Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred
- Language: Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, with experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred
