Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing procedures, including phlebotomy, and report results to healthcare clinicians.
  • Prepare specimens for reference lab send-outs and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct patient interviews and document medical histories, including chief complaints, medications, and allergies.
  • Assist clinicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phones, handling correspondence, and completing patient forms.
  • Travel to various offices to support clinical and administrative functions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • MA diploma/certification required or 3 years of MA experience in lieu of certification.
  • Active BLS certification required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements.
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public.
