Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at StoneSprings Hospital Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for administering and documenting all established department services and special procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document all aspects of patient care
- Work closely with all healthcare providers to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, quality healthcare
- Implement and/or comply with all policies, procedures, and standards of the department and the institution
- Access, educate, administer, and appropriately document various respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilation, and arterial blood gas obtainment and analysis
- Respond to code blue, rapid response, and code pink situations and help establish/maintain airway, support ventilation, suctioning, emergency arterial blood gas sampling, and closed chest massage as needed
- Graduate of an NBRC-approved program for respiratory therapy, qualifying candidate for certification/registry
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- CRT or RRT certification from the National Board Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- BLS certification through the American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire
- ACLS, PALS certification through the American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) and NRP required within 90 days of hire
