Job Description

The IT Data Architect - Data and Analytics is responsible for understanding sources of data and defining a framework for integrating, centralizing, and maintaining it. In our Data and Analytics organization, this involves partnering with business users and IT team members to support our data warehouse/lake as well as the data models and integration of applications across one or more business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business/functional leaders and teams to identify, collect, and translate information requirements into data to develop data-centric solutions.
  • Implement industry-accepted data architecture principles and standards for modeling, stored procedures, replication, regulations, and security, among others, to meet technical and business goals.
  • Establish and oversee adherence to standards for data modeling and code in various languages to improve and update data-centric solutions.
  • Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability.
  • Apply sampling techniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to be questioned.
  • Compare and analyze statistical information to identify patterns, relationships, and problems; organize and present findings to management.
  • Train assistants and other members of the team how to properly organize findings and read data collected.
  • Refer to previous instances and findings to determine the ideal method for gathering data.
  • Continuously identifies and pursues opportunities to improve systems in terms of reliability, usability, and performance.
  • Collaborates across functional, company, and geographical boundaries and influences and negotiates to provide effective support and deliver results.
  • Participates as data lead on projects of all sizes.
  • Applies principles, concepts, and practices of the IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected.
Requirements
  • Candidates MUST HAVE the following DOCUMENTED experience or will be disqualified - 10+ years of experience with Data Modeling, Data Mapping, and Data Architecture - SQL - Integration experience - Bachelor's Degree.
