As a Water Treatment Project Manager at Amerapex Corporation, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of water treatment projects. Our team is dedicated to providing engineering, management, and development services that support multisector project work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wastewater treatment practices, methods, and related equipment. They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to achieve project goals.

A competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per year is offered for this position, depending on experience. In addition, our benefits package includes market-competitive medical, vision, and dental benefits, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan with both matching and non-matching company contributions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • All planning and design aspects of a project, including preparation and development of alternative analyses, reports, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, calculations, and permit applications.
  • Preparation of detailed designs for both new installations and rehabilitation of existing water/wastewater collection/distribution/transmission systems, pump stations, and treatment plants.
  • Leadership of junior engineers and small design teams.
  • Coordinate and work with various disciplines and sub-consultants handling multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and provide solutions.
  • Assistance in business development efforts and proposal preparation.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings, project site visits, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Associate/Technical degree in environmental science, chemistry, or related field and extensive progressively responsible experience in wastewater treatment plant operations including supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licenses and/or Certifications:
    • Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or another similar discipline, with four (4) years of hands-on experience in water treatment or similar.
    • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or another similar discipline, with five (5) years of hands-on experience in water treatment or similar.
    • Valid driver's license, TWIC certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of wastewater treatment practices, methods, and related equipment.
  • Good knowledge of local and state regulations governing wastewater treatment operations.
  • Skill in operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Supervisory, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
