Travel Nurse RN Position

We are seeking a qualified PCU RN to join our team at Infojini Healthcare. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a reputable healthcare staffing firm.
About the PositionThis PCU RN position is located in Rockford, Illinois, and offers a competitive pay rate of $2,261 per week. The shift is days with on-call rotation, and the call frequency is 2 nights/week and 6 weekends (in a 13-week contract period).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act as required by care setting.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and comprehensive in accordance with the established standards of care for documentation at the system and entity levels.
- Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the patient's individualized needs, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy.
- Utilize resources available to teach and support patient and family education. Provide education to the appropriate level of understanding.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Utilize clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
- Act to resolve systems breakdowns and engage self and others in providing solutions.
- Utilize critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience, manages complex situations, and delegates to other staff appropriately.
- Escalate to the appropriate chain of command as needed.
- Positively influence the professional and organizational environments and shared governance.
- Engage in personal development and supports system-entity opportunities for continuous learning and growth, including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Support and participate in peer review and peer feedback opportunities.
- Participate in the professional nursing continuum.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 3 years of RN experience with 1 year of critical care experience required.
- Cardiovascular Intervention experience required.
- Certification and IL RN licensure by the IL Dept of Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Current CPR certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation.
- National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
