We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Specialist to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for assessing injuries and developing comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess injuries and develop treatment plans to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
- Design and implement comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
- Evaluate and manage injuries, maintaining medical documentation on each athlete and acting as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
- Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Affiliated Credentialing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
