POSITION SUMMARY
The Forklift Service Technician is responsible for executing scheduled maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of Hyster-Yale forklifts and related equipment, as well as other competitive material handling machinery.
This role encompasses various systems including fuel, drivetrain, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Experienced technicians will provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice technicians through hands-on training.
Adherence to all safety protocols and company policies is essential.
Accurate identification and ordering of necessary replacement components is required.
Service vans must be operated in a clean, safe, and secure manner, following all safety regulations pertinent to the job.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma, G.E.D., or completion of a technical school program is preferred.
Proven ability to repair equipment in accordance with skill level.
Basic proficiency in computer and tablet usage (familiarity with both Microsoft and Apple operating systems).
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record must be maintained throughout employment.
Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Capability to compose routine correspondence.Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts and percentages, using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Understanding of weight measurement, volume, and distance is necessary.Reasoning Ability: Ability to address practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Required as per job specifications.
