The Biller/Collector is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection of patient accounts. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit patient bills for insurance and/or private pay
- Act as a liaison between patients and their health insurance providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account information
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and denials
- Communicate with patients and their families regarding billing and collection issues
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless billing and collection processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of experience in hospital billing or a related field
- Knowledge of managed care and commercial billing requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
