We are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As an EEG Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct EEG tests, including standard EEG, Electrocerebral Inactivity, Neonatal EEG, and other neurological tests such as Evoked Potentials and Nerve Conduction Studies.
- Monitor patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric, throughout the test and document observations, collect data from various monitors, and report this information to the physician.
- Explain the test to the patient, obtain an accurate and concise patient history, and note patient information, such as seizure types, date of last seizure, other neurologic symptoms, and any medications taken.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with patients, patients' family, Neuro-Diagnostic staff, Laboratory staff, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff.
- A High School Graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Degree from an accredited Electro-Diagnostic Technology program is preferred.
- A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist Certification is preferred.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- 1-3 years EEG experience is preferred.
