We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist to join our team at the City of Oceanside. As a GIS Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the City's geographic information systems (GIS) efforts, providing geospatial support to various departments, and contributing to the development of the City's GIS system.

• Manage and maintain the City's GIS database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and implement GIS web applications using ESRI's tools and API.
• Conduct spatial analysis and create maps and charts from multiple layers of data.
• Provide training and support to City staff on GIS tools and resources.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate GIS data into their systems.
• Develop and maintain GIS-related documentation and user guides.

• Minimum of two years of increasingly responsible professional and technical/analytical GIS experience.
• Associate's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GIS-relevant programming, scripting, and querying methods.
• Experience with ESRI products and related modules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
