Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

HTI LLC is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team at a brand-new multi-metal recycling facility in Augusta, GA. As a leading provider of non-ferrous metals, Aurubis is committed to environmental sustainability, diversity, and employee well-being.

What You Need:
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Controls Technician, or similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control devices
  • Experience with SCADA systems, DCS, HMIs, and other control system software
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Job Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS, HMIs, and other automation equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot control system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to design and implement control system upgrades and modifications
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities, including updating schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation
