Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Lead Cashier to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Lead Cashier, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front-end department, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of cashiers to achieve our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Proactively approach customers, assist them in locating products, and answer any questions they have.
  • Team Leadership: Promptly respond to assist cashiers to meet customer needs quickly and efficiently, and monitor customer flow and traffic patterns throughout the store.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the right number of open lanes and run registers as necessary to reduce customer wait time.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 1 year of customer-facing experience in a retail or food service environment.
