Job Title: Heavy Equipment Field Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our team at D2B Groups. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment used in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with our Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedules, prioritizing customer needs and considering equipment location and part availability.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace worn and defective parts, and install new assemblies to correct issues and maintain equipment functionality.
  • Provide tools and parts and arrange for facilities to perform repair work, usually on customer premises.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machines upon initial delivery, at specified intervals, and upon completion of repair work to ensure proper functioning.
  • Report to our Service Supervisor on customer information, machine description, malfunction details, work time, mileage, and other relevant data for accurate accounting and billing.
  • Strive to increase technical skills through attendance at company-sponsored vocational schools, annual training meetings, and reading of technical literature.
  • Promote and enhance our company image by maintaining a neat appearance and keeping our service truck clean and organized.
  • Experienced technicians will serve as troubleshooters on recurring or unusual problems, conferring with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other service personnel to resolve.
  • Experienced technicians will train new technicians or supervise a team in assembling or servicing large units or on large repair jobs.
Requirements:
  • Experience working on heavy equipment or generators is preferred.
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment is required.
  • 2+ years of field service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR, and physical is required.
  • Experience working with customers is essential.
