We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at Horizons Engineering Inc. in Newmarket, NH.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of structural engineering projects throughout New England. As a Structural Engineer, you will assist project managers and other team members with structural engineering design for residential, commercial, municipal, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Structural Engineering design of municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
- Drafting and detailing in CAD.
- Prepare reports and documents related to structural engineering projects.
- Design various structural engineering-related projects including single-family homes, multi-family residences, commercial buildings, foundation systems, and retaining walls.
- Construction Services Assistance.
- Same-day travel (less than 10%).
- Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related field.
- 4 or more years of professional experience in the practice of structural engineering in New England or a similar setting.
- Experience with AutoCAD design software.
- Experience with wood, structural steel, and reinforced concrete design.
- Sound understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
- Strong technical skills.
- Ability to complete fieldwork.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience with structural design software.
- Experience managing projects, writing proposals, and doing billing is preferred but not required.
