Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for performing continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under the supervision of the RN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately analyze, interpret, and record ECG rhythms according to procedure.
  • Maintain continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor and during patient transport, identifying changes and responding or reporting to the RN as appropriate.
  • Clean and maintain telemetry monitors/holders and account for monitor upon patient discharge.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of central station and bedside monitors, ensuring alarms are maintained at appropriate levels and settings.
  • Perform other unit-specific duties such as video monitoring, order entry, and answering phones.
Requirements
  • BLS Certification required within facility policy.
  • Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire is required.
