Certified Respiratory Care Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Certified Respiratory Therapist is accountable for conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, executing standard respiratory care practices, performing arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, overseeing the upkeep and operation of essential respiratory equipment, and providing patient education.



EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care Sciences or equivalent experience of two years in the field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

No prior experience is necessary.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:

Must be credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and possess a valid license from the State of Georgia through the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

No additional qualifications are required.
