Job Summary

Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality medical care and support to infants and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Medical Care: Provide medical care to infants, including dispensing medications, performing diagnostic tests, and consulting with the healthcare team to assess and implement patient care plans.
  • Infant Care: Provide emotional support, physical comfort, and social interaction to infants, as well as prepare bottles and feed babies, change diapers, and hold and rock babies.
  • Record Keeping: Record medical information, vital signs, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Communication: Communicate with parents to update them on their infant's care, educate them on home care, and answer questions or direct them to medical staff who can answer their questions.
  • Environment Safety: Ensure care center environments remain safe and child-friendly.
  • Meetings: Meet with parents to discuss their child's health and development, and set up the nursery's daily routine.
  • Support Services: Support abused children and promote public health and parenting.
Requirements
  • Education: RN license in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of recent experience in a nursery setting.
  • Certifications: Active AHA BLS, NRP Certification required.
