Location: Norman, OK

Shift: 10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Salary: $17.39/hour - $28.40/hour (dependent on previous work experience)

Weekend Requirements: 1 full weekend of call per month

On Call Requirements: 5-7 days per month

Shift and Weekend Differentials Available

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Scrub Tech to collaborate with our surgical services department. In this role, you will ensure a sterile environment in the Operating Room and assist surgeons during various operative procedures. You will play a critical role in maintaining patient safety and aseptic techniques while working with a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork: Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients.
  • Operative Assistance: Assist the surgeon during operative procedures, ensuring that all instruments and supplies are available and properly arranged.
  • New Scrub Tech Orientation: Orient new Scrub Techs to all surgical areas through extensive training with a dedicated preceptor.
  • Surgical Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of various surgical procedures, including general, robotics, neuro, plastics, colorectal, and urology.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Ongoing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Surgical Technology Program: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or five (5) consecutive years of training/experience as a Surgical Tech (required).
  • Certified Surgical Technologist: Recent clinical experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Tech (required).
  • LPN with Surgical Tech Experience: LPN with one (1) year of surgical tech experience is preferred.
  • National Certification: National Certification in Surgical Technology is highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
  • Oklahoma LPN License: Current Oklahoma LPN license, if applicable (required).
