Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy.

Job Summary:

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage life-sustaining therapies, including mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and dialysis.
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in ICU or critical care setting.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
