UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled Flight Paramedic to join our Critical Care Transport team. As a Flight Paramedic, you will provide direct patient care during air and ground critical care transport, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care during all phases of transport, from initial contact to care relinquishment at the accepting medical facility.
- Document patient assessment, evaluation, interventions, patient response to therapy, changes in condition, and procedures within established timeframes.
- Participate in pre- and post-transport briefings, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive success and improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure equipment is in working order, identifying discrepancies and taking steps towards resolution.
- Complete all required vehicle and equipment checklists, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Required Licensure/Certification: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and Colorado EMT-P certification at hire. Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C). Valid driver's license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and any one of the following: Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) or ITLS (International Trauma Life Support).
- Minimum Experience: 5 years paramedic experience.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in a high call volume 911 ambulance service, field training officer experience, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, previous flight/CCT experience, CEVO/EVOC training, Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC or PHTLS or ITLS).
