Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team at UCHealth. As an Ophthalmic Scribe, you will play a critical role in supporting our eye care providers in the care of patients and the flow of clinical activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist eye care providers in performing patient care under their direct supervision.
- Perform basic optometric testing procedures, diagnostic testing, and tasks delegated by the eye care provider.
- Assist with minor procedures and prescription refill process under the direction of the eye care provider.
- Document patient information, provide education, and enter charges.
- Assist with the flow of patient care and ensure proper care and usage of medical instruments.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ophthalmic Medical Assisting Independent Study Course or JCAHPO Career Advancement Tool (JCAT) within two years of hire.
- Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within 30 days of hire or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification.
