About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Systems Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kohler Co. in a 3rd shift role. As a key member of our Skilled Trades team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating Plant Utility system equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and operate Plant Utility system equipment and processes, including boilers, air compressors, chillers, air dryers, fans, pumps, wells, and HVAC equipment.
  • Interpret and understand Mechanical and Electrical blueprints and P&ID diagrams.
  • Use a wide variety of tools, including multi-meters, personal computers, vibration analysis, laser measurement, refrigerant gauge sets, refrigerant recovery machines, vacuum pumps, steam trap testing equipment, man lifts, hand tools, and power tools.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet Kohler Co.'s MVR guidelines.
  • Must complete a written technical skills knowledge evaluation and receive a passing score on the STM assessment.
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC Systems) Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro-Mechanical degree or enrolled in an accredited program working towards the degree.
  • Valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18 months.
  • Active participation on the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.
