A Day in the Life
The Quality Assurance Engineering Lead will oversee a group of test automation specialists tasked with developing and sustaining test automation frameworks, testing utilities, and test data management systems. In this role, you will leverage a robust technical foundation in test automation, exceptional leadership capabilities, and experience with agile development practices.
The Quality Assurance Engineering Lead will:
- Direct the team in the design, development, and upkeep of test automation frameworks and tools utilizing Javascript, Python, Selenium, and SauceLabs.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of test automation within the broader software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their expertise and knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in test automation, including effective test design, code quality, and thorough documentation.
- Work closely with Product Owners to establish acceptance criteria for user stories and guarantee comprehensive testing.
- Engage with stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for refining the test automation process and implement strategies to boost efficiency and quality.
- Monitor and report on team progress, identifying challenges and taking corrective measures as needed.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as assigned.
- Exhibit behaviors that align with the organization's desired culture and values.
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in leading and motivating software development teams.
- Proficiency in technologies and tools such as Python, Selenium, and SauceLabs.
- Familiarity with common test automation tools and best practices including Typescript, Playwright, Cucumber, Selenium, and SauceLabs or LambdaTest.
- Experience with Git and GitLab CI/CD is highly desirable.
- Background in navigating complex multi-developer/multi-site environments.
- Strong expertise in test automation, particularly focused on web applications and APIs, with experience in event-driven architecture being advantageous.

Compensation: Individual salaries may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location/market data, and skills and experience as outlined below:
- Lower in range - Developing skills and experience in the role.
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role.
- Higher in range - Experience and skills contribute additional value beyond typical role requirements.
Some positions may qualify for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on both company and individual performance.
