Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with various speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to identify treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday. The Speech Therapist must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist height, lift and carry up to 40 pounds at waist height, and push/pull with 30 pounds of force. The position also requires repetitive use of hands and functional use of senses to allow for effective communication.
