About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Southside Market & Bbq Inc. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for slicing all of our barbeque proteins based on customer requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Communicate clearly with customers to ensure accuracy of BBQ orders and provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Meat Cutting: Utilize safe and efficient knife skills to cut smoked meats to order and use restaurant equipment to accurately weigh meats to exact specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Work directly with customers, cashiers, and customer service team members to ensure that customer orders are filled accurately and the customer receives the best possible barbeque experience.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a safe and clean working environment and ensure that all meats are cut to the highest quality standards.
Requirements
  • 1 year prior food handling experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Texas Food Handler Certificate required (or able to obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English for all job-related circumstances.
  • Must be 18+ years old.
