Overview

In this position, you will have the chance to contribute to the expanding Ardurra family within our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering sectors. Your role will involve overseeing and designing a diverse range of stimulating transportation and civil engineering/land development initiatives across the region. This encompasses projects related to: DOT, municipal infrastructure, industrial sites, parks and recreation, residential developments, commercial properties, drainage/stormwater management, public works, and roadway and utility design for private enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and provide design assistance on a variety of transportation and civil engineering projects (both public and private) to bolster our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering sectors. Engage in regular collaboration with other engineering divisions (transportation, public works, water/wastewater, and surveying) within Ardurra. Support client interactions, manage budgets and timelines, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery. Aid in the preparation of project proposals, scopes/fees, and responses to RFPs. Organize, plan, and oversee design activities for a range of intricate civil engineering projects (e.g., multi-structure facilities requiring frequent collaboration with various consultants and disciplines). Coordinate consistently with project design team members, clients, contractors, subconsultants, and representatives from permitting agencies. Draft and evaluate technical engineering reports and calculations. Facilitate and collaborate during project construction administration by liaising with the construction team/general contractor, reviewing shop drawings/submittals, and addressing requests for information.

Qualifications and Experience

Professional Engineering (PE) License. At least 5 years of experience in Project Management. Engineering and design experience in the Southwest region, particularly New Mexico, is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Skills in business development and client relationship management. Strong financial management acumen. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
