**About the Opportunity**

The American Heart Association is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Little Rock development team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of development, including event planning, volunteer management, and community outreach.

**Responsibilities**

As a development intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of community events, including the Heart Walk, Go Red for Woman, Heart Ball, and the Sweetheart Campaign. You will also assist with volunteer recruitment and management, as well as provide support for development directors in gathering requested materials from companies.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this internship, you must be a senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in business, communications, nonprofit fundraising, or event management. You should have experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising, as well as basic experience with graphic design and Canva. You must also be able to work professionally with colleagues and professional volunteers, and have effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
