Job Title: Special Educator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Educator to join our team at Brooklyn USA. As a Special Educator, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality services to children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide screening, diagnoses, and treatment to children up to 3.5 years old with various developmental delays and disabilities.
  • Deliver early intervention services through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Special Instruction therapy techniques within the home, school, or community setting.
  • Work collaboratively with families and a team of other service providers to help achieve child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals.
  • Collect and graph ABA data to track progress and inform treatment decisions.

Requirements:

  • NYS Permanent Certification in Special Education, a NYS Permanent Certification as a TSHH, a NYS Initial or Professional Certification in Students with Disabilities, Birth to 2nd Grade, or a NYS Initial or Professional Certification as a TSSLD.
  • Excellent attention to detail regarding report submission.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate with professionals in various disciplines and at different levels to best advocate for the needs of children.
  • Willingness to travel to various settings for service provision.
