Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Cypress Ridge Care Center in Monterrey, California.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
  • Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes, adhering to PT Board standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, as needed, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Treat patients according to the physician treatment plan, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
  • Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Communicate effectively with the supervisor and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in in-services training programs for other staff in the facility, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Record treatment changes according to policy and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Instruct patient families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training, preparing patients for discharge from therapy services.
  • Report any problems with department equipment to ensure timely maintenance and repair.
  • Relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements:
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant License
