Speech Language Pathologist - CCC

Work Environment:
In-person - school-based

Position Overview:
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school environment, you will deliver speech and language therapy services to students facing communication challenges. You will collaborate with educators, support personnel, and families to enhance students' communication abilities and facilitate their academic achievements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language capabilities.
2. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to meet students' speech and language requirements.
3. Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
4. Collaborate with educators and support staff to incorporate speech and language objectives into students' educational plans.
5. Monitor and document students' progress towards their speech and language goals.
6. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to review students' progress and recommend additional support.
7. Educate and train teachers, support staff, and families on strategies to foster students' communication development.
8. Stay updated on best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
3. State licensure or certification in speech-language pathology.
4. Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
7. Knowledge of evidence-based practices for assessing and treating speech and language disorders.
8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
