About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to join our Industrial Building Group. As a key member of our team, you will oversee project execution from start to finish on-site.

The successful candidate will report directly to the General Superintendent and collaborate closely with Project Management staff on all project aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise all job site activities, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress and budgets, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards, fostering a safe working environment.
  • Supervise staff, provide work direction, and constructive feedback, promoting a positive work culture.
  • Procure necessary equipment and schedule regular maintenance, minimizing downtime.
  • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a safe and clean jobsite by enforcing established safety rules and regulations.
  • Complete projects on time and within budget, exceeding client expectations.
  • Document all related construction activities, providing valuable insights for future projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; seven years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent on projects exceeding $15M is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction sites is mandatory.
  • The ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines is crucial.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction operations and processes is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and effectively under pressure are necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Availability to work overtime, including weekends as needed, is expected.
  • Passing a background check and pre-employment drug test is mandatory.

This role is designated as a safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.
