This is a 0.75 FTE/30 hours a week position that requires a Patient Care Technician to work in the Psychiatric Emergency Services department at Bozeman Health.
Key Responsibilities- Complete timely and accurate room turnovers
- Clean operating rooms after surgical procedures
- Open sterile supplies onto a maintained sterile field
- Transport patients safely between rooms and between beds
- Perform proper machine checks
- Maintain appropriate supplies and order as needed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS
- Preferred: Courses in Medical Terminology, College course related to healthcare, EMT, CNA, or healthcare-related certifications, Specific department experience or patient care experience, Student in the healthcare field
The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
Physical Requirements- Lifting, pushing, and pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.), Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.), Carry equipment/supplies
Job tasks may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed, various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings, and emotionally challenging situations.
