Job DescriptionEssential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Office Visits: Assess and monitor changes in patients' physical and psycho/social needs using the nursing process.
  • Educate and counsel patients and/or caregivers with provisions for follow-up.
  • Prepare patients for and assist in complex procedures and treatments.
  • Administer and document all medications, including IV therapy, accurately.
Charting:
  • Enter patient charting into the EMR accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide clinical direction to support staff (LPNs, Medical Assistants).
Miscellaneous:
  • Respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Check code cart weekly, if applicable.
  • Stock supplies as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum education: Associate Degree; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • NY State RN License.
  • BLS Certified; ACLS certification required.
  • Critical Care experience required.
  • IV certification preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completes competency skill checklist within first 3 months.
  • Vascular/surgical experience highly preferred.
  • EMR experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
