Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Safely diagnose, repair, and maintain paper printing and converting machinery.
  • Address equipment concerns raised by operators, quality control, and supervisors.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all machinery and keep accurate records.
  • Construct and modify tools and equipment based on technical drawings or specifications.
  • Perform general carpentry tasks.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of facility systems including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Engage in general upkeep of the building and surrounding grounds.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, drill presses, and other power tools.
  • Ability to utilize measuring instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Compensation

Salary: Starting at $22.00 per hour

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Familiarity with operational procedures and maintenance protocols.
  • Mechanical expertise is essential; electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in a production or finishing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Precision and accuracy in work are crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safety practices.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential, with a willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Collaborative mindset to achieve team objectives.
  • Adaptability to quickly learn and perform varied tasks in a dynamic environment.
