At Animo Sano Psychiatry PLLC, we are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Durham, NC. This position focuses on providing injection administration and care coordination within our chronic care management model.
We operate under general physician supervision with established protocols, combining remote work with in-person patient care at our two Durham facilities. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed IM and SubQ injections following established protocols and standing orders
- Document all injection procedures and patient responses
- Coordinate patient care between healthcare providers, facilities, and support services
- Maintain communication with supervising physician as needed for patient care
- Monitor and track patient care plans
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Provide telephonic patient support and follow-up
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited organization (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, or NHA)
- Documented training in injection administration
- Demonstrated experience in IM and SubQ injection techniques
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
