Job OpportunityWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our team at Lad Lake Inc. As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive learning environment that fosters the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of individual students and groups, including vulnerable or special-needs youth.
- Design and deliver culturally sensitive curricula that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the academic and social needs of our students.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of student education plans, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Use effective instructional methods and materials to promote student learning and well-being.
- Establish and enforce classroom policies and procedures that promote a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with performance management, risk reduction, quality improvement, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
- Wisconsin teaching certificate with a license in Science.
- Previous experience working with emotionally and behaviorally disabled (EBD) students or vulnerable adolescent populations is required.
- Ability to interact positively and confidently with students and colleagues, and to work effectively with a culturally, racially, and economically diverse student population.
- Strong organizational skills, effective behavior management techniques, and good judgment.
