Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a skilled Critical Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Cardiac Critical Care department. As a critical care provider, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with top physicians in an autonomous environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working primarily night shifts, offering a great opportunity to work in one of the nation's leading cardiology programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in a dynamic environment and excel in cardiovascular critical care.

You will become competent in a multitude of critical procedures and management strategies, including vascular access and line placements, bedside ultrasound, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamics, and complex mechanical circulatory support. As a member of our collaborative team, you will provide specialized care for patients pre and post cardiovascular surgery, including heart transplantation, advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other complex multi-organ problems.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold a graduate degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program (PA) or a Master's degree in Nursing (NP)
  • Be licensed to practice in Georgia as a PA or Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience in the CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
