**Role Overview**

As a Podiatric Surgeon in the United States Air Force, you will provide medical diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of foot and ankle problems. From calluses to broken bones, your expertise will help Airmen recover from injuries and ailments, ensuring they can continue to serve with confidence.

**Requirements**

To join the Air Force as a Podiatric Surgeon, you must meet the following requirements:

* Hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathic medicine
* Complete a minimum 24 months' podiatric surgical residency program
* Have a minimum of six months' experience in podiatry assignments
* Possess a valid and current license to practice podiatric medicine
* Complete the Officer Training School course
* Be between the ages of 18 and 42
