Crime Analyst

The City of Lathrop is seeking a highly skilled Crime and Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Police Department, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to support crime prevention and suppression efforts.

• Collect and analyze data from various sources, including law enforcement databases and crime reports.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to prevent and reduce crime.
• Provide intelligence and analysis to support police operations and investigations.
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies to share information and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports and presentations to stakeholders.

• Two years of experience in data analysis and evaluation, preferably in a law enforcement or criminal justice setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and customer service.

The Crime and Intelligence Analyst will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
