Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at IU Health Methodist Hospital. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Certification Requirements:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Skillset Preferences:
    • Management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias are highly preferred.
  • Floating Requirements:
    • Travelers may be expected to float with resources provided if needed.
  • Job Details:
    • IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
    • Local rate rule: $15 off the BR. ICU, PCU, and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate.
    • First Time Travelers Accepted.
    • IU Health Methodist Hospital has different unit details such as Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho, etc., and manages some pre-op patients.
  • Job Requirements:
    • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
    • 2 years of overall RN experience required.
    • Management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias skills preferred.
  • Schedule Information:
    • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12.
  • Unit Specific Information:
    • Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho, etc., and some pre-op patients.
  • Additional Details:
    • Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date).
    • Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need.
    • Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
    • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
    • Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6.
    • Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however, medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.
