About the Role:
This position is based in a residential setting, allowing you to return home each night. As an Emergency Response Specialist, you will be instrumental in providing expert advice and support on all emergency service matters at our site. Your expertise will be crucial as we navigate through an exciting expansion phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a professional emergency response service by engaging in training and real-life emergency scenarios, leading incidents, and guiding less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance individual and collective capabilities through effective emergency response training.
- Respond to emergency and first aid calls, administering appropriate medical treatment in line with established clinical guidelines.
- Foster a culture of health and safety awareness among site personnel, continuously improving workplace health and safety standards.
- Maintain emergency response equipment to ensure it meets high operational standards.
- Participate in daily safety inspections and assist with safety audits.
- Respond to fire alarms and manage fire protection systems.
- Support the implementation of Drug & Alcohol Testing and Fitness for Work policies.
- Safeguard company assets through diligent security practices.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by management.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Certificate IV in Healthcare.
- Combined Space Entry/Gas test certification.
- HLPAT00- Accredited Drug and Alcohol Screening.
- CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations (preferred).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred).
- Level 1 Incident Controller certification (preferred).
- Leadership training (preferred).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in surface mining and processing operations in a similar capacity.
- Familiarity with WA WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Understanding of mining and resource practices and processing plants.
- Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Stability and tenure in previous roles are highly regarded.
- Current HR Drivers Licence (Essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
