Job Summary

Northland Pioneer College is seeking a qualified faculty member to teach psychology courses in a variety of environments and modes. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and assessing students in accordance with course outlines and instructional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach psychology courses in the accredited undergraduate Social and Behavioral Sciences program
  • Teach in a variety of environments and modes, including live, hybrid, and online courses
  • Integrate technology with instruction to enhance student learning
  • Assess students in light of institutional goals, program goals, and course objectives
  • Maintain scheduled office hours to provide support to students
  • Provide service to the department, division, college, and community as assigned
  • Develop good working relationships with discipline-related professionals in the College's service area
  • Collaborate and participate in AZTransfer to foster transferability opportunities
  • Serve as a community resource in the area of expertise
  • Be active in one's field of expertise
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field, with a strong commitment to teaching and student learning. The candidate should have experience teaching psychology courses and be familiar with the College's learning management system.
