Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at KLM Careers in Boyertown, PA. This role presents an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the plastics industry, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing systems.

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Control Systems

Develop PLC programs based on project requirements for plastics manufacturing processes, design and implement control systems for automated machinery within the plastics industry, and configure and troubleshoot PLC hardware and software components specific to plastics production lines.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other control systems, provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, and document and maintain detailed records of PLC programs and modifications.

Stay Up-to-Date on Industry Trends

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to PLC programming, including proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram, and experience with PLC hardware and software platforms commonly used in the plastics industry (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).

Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in PLC programming and industrial automation, with a strong background in automation within the plastics industry.

Education and Qualifications

Associates degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience), with proven experience in project management and self-driven initiatives.
