Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health professional at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mental Health Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough mental health assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to regulatory requirements and Kaiser Permanente's standards.
  • Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, research, and evidence-based treatments in mental health.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • License: Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • Experience: Previous experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-Licensure Experience: Previous experience as a licensed mental health professional in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Specialized Training: Training in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and evidence-based treatments.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Experience in supervising mental health professionals, including post-graduate fellows and associate clinicians.
