We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Inspection Engineer to join our team at Modjeski and Masters. As a Bridge Inspection Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our nation's bridges.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of major railroad and highway structures to identify potential defects and areas of concern.
- Develop and implement repair plans to address deficient conditions and ensure the long-term sustainability of our bridges.
- Collaborate with our team of engineers to design and implement construction plans for bridge repairs and maintenance.
- Perform field inspections and gather data to inform our bridge inspection and maintenance strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for maintenance and repair of all types and sizes of highway and railroad bridges.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Valid EI certification or in the process of obtaining.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals, including load paths and structural behavior.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CADD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
